Here we are already into the second month of year and moving quickly towards March. March can be brutal or soft and sweet – sometimes a combination of both. But the one thing about March is that you know spring is coming. I probably say this every spring but I


found winter tough this year. Cold and


unfriendly. One minute we have snow – lots of it – and the next day it would be raining. No consistency – just a series of tumultuous mayhem. No time to get out the snowshoes and it always seemed to be icy when you were out walking. Entertaining my dogs was easy while I performed a series of


summersaults while slipping and sliding around our yard. They never realized catch could be such fun.


THIS ISSUE In the February issue we have a collection of over 70 artists who paint snow in all of its colours and combinations. I couldn`t believe the variety. Snow certainly isn`t just white. If you are in the mood for chocolate – we have you covered with cakes, cookies and


interesting desserts – we also have links so you can get the recipe and indulge yourself. Our Book Review section has quite a variety and I have already ordered three of the


books. The Korean American Cookbook by Eric Kim has some recipes I am anxious to try. We have become hooked on KDrama TV shows and the Team Dinners with the police officers always look amazing. This issue the Home Feature designed by Barbara Elliott and Jennifer Ward Woods is


owned by Kountry Wayne, a YouTube and internet comedic star. They have done an amazing job with each room and the colours and furniture are spectacular. Wayne Colley wanted each of his ten children to have their own room – reflecting their unique personality. As you will see on the pages in this issue it was quite an undertaking. Front Cover artist Emilie Fantuz captures a reflection that is both real and imaginary at


the same time. Well that is it for my comments. These days I wake up wondering if I am in a Mad


Max Movie with all that is going on in the world. Here is hoping spring is a time of hope and promise.
