SUSTAINABILITY

“Our most recent work includes our

Recycle Week announcement that a number of our brands have moved to 100% rPET bottles (recycled plastic), across single-serve 500ml and/or 600ml bottles. This includes Pepsi MAX®, 7UP Free, Tango, Lipton Ice Tea, Robinsons Ready to Drink, and drench. The change will be supported with clear on-pack messaging across selected brands, outlet activation via POS materials and a new TV advert from Pepsi MAX®.”

How important is sustainability? “Sustainability is critical to our long-term success as environmental considerations have soared on people’s agendas over the last decade. also showed that people’s children had the biggest impact on their decisions and behaviours, showing the generational element at play. This shows how important it is for businesses to make changes now, as the next generation will have an even greater concern for the environment, and their purchases will reflect this.

“Sustainability is not only a growing concern among people, but it is also now a factor in their decision-making and purchasing process. Therefore, consumers are expecting brands and organisations to demonstrate their environmental efforts through the products they manufacture and sell. In turn, it is important for operators to keep up with consumer priorities, and their expectations of local outlets. Operators will benefit by indicating they too are aware of these issues, by listing and signposting sustainable products in outlets and on menus.”
