Sustainability is key to long-term success, writes , GB Commercial Sustainability Director at Britvic


What is Britvic’s sustainable business model and why is it increasingly important for the beverage industry to prioritise people and planet? “At Britvic we regularly engage with our internal and external stakeholders to ensure that our sustainability strategy is addressing the key issues and concerns of our customers. Plastic packaging remains a priority as part of our Healthier Planet strategy: to build a resilient  resources, significantly reducing the impact   Healthier People initiative aims to focus on our employees and consumers, from establishing an inclusive and diverse working environment where well-being is prioritised, to ensuring our products allow customers to enjoy life’s everyday moments, as part of a healthy, balanced lifestyle.”


What are companies like Britvic doing to achieve their sustainability goals and how can consumers help to achieve this? “We are involved in a number of initiatives at Britvic, including being a founding signatory of the UK Plastics Pact; a long-term agreement and investment with Esterform Packaging; our ambitious carbon reduction targets, which are in line with the Science Based Targets initiative; and being a part of The Rivers Trust’s Water Stewardship programme.
