NEW LANDGUARD POINT PRODUCTS AID ROOFERS

Product development at Landguard Point is aimed at supporting the construction industry

Above left and right: IASPIS has been designed to be the highest grade possible

Timber has an important role to play in all areas of construction, particularly within the roofing industry. From timber products for structural purposes, to fixing points and cladding, it is important within all constructional industries, and will continue to be in the future.

Graded batten is an essential product required for roofers nationwide. Landguard Point has reliably supplied the UK’s roofing merchants for over a decade, ensuring roofers have a reliable supply of batten. Landguard Point has been working hard to develop new batten options for its customers, with recent developments in this area.

IASPIS is a new development of Landguard

Point Ltd, with the aim to offer an exclusive Yellow BS 5534:2014+A2:2018 graded batten to the UK market, with product quality at the centre of its design. We recognise consistent product quality and performance is highly important to tradesmen. IASPIS has been designed to be the highest grade possible. Our sawmill and product development team have worked hard to ensure all aspects required by roofers are met with our new design batten. Our sawmill is producing this product exclusively for Landguard Point group, with

its launch happening earlier this year with great success. Our aim is for this product to be a leader in the roofing sector, and be the roofers’ choice of roofing batten for their projects.

All battens will be treated to the highest standard, with our treatment provider being a member of the WPA (Wood Protection Association). It is a product designed to last, but also be easily identifiable with its distinctive colour. All sizes and lengths will be readily available.

Alongside our graded battens, Landguard

Point is proud to offer an extensive range of graded carcassing. A key product within the UK timber industry, with its practicality and diversity making it such an important product.

Landguard Point’s C24 carcassing is graded to BS5268:2007 by a registered qualified grader, or by machine to EN 14081:2005 at our reputable sawmills in the Baltics. This ensures the product meets all criteria in strength grading and allows for wider spans and heavier loading when in position.

Baltic timber ensures a naturally stronger option in comparison to home-grown timbers. The cold climate of the Baltics

causes slower growth within forests, resulting in tighter growth rings which create a final product which has high levels of natural strength and stability. We are proud of the constructional timbers we are able to offer the UK market, and continue to develop products, ensuring we are offering the best service and product line to our customers.

This focus is continued through all of our product lines, including landscaping, fencing and furniture products.
