2006 Vanessa Faura MA ’10 made it to Washington, D.C. Troughout her political career, Vanessa has successfully led multiple policy initiatives and education programs to better empower citizens. Vanessa’s solid experience in community organizing and grassroots movements coupled with an immense passion for civic engagement has led her to a fantastic national role with the Republican National Committee as coalitions director, where she will be leading the women’s engagement efforts in the country. Vanessa also moved to Florida after living in North Carolina for 22 years. She is based in D.C. for work and travels back to Florida in her free time.
Amber Rigsby Freeman, her husband, David, and two sons, Benton and Hudson, have relocated to South Lyon, Michigan, from Atlanta, Georgia. Tey are looking forward to many outdoor adventures in the “Mitten State.”

Emily Helmick Packwood and her husband, Jesse, relocated last year with their two children, Jesse (5) and Elle (1), and their foster-fail Jackabee pup named “Lizard,” back to the Vero Beach, Florida area. Emily is an attorney whose practice primarily focuses on estate planning, probate and real estate law. A lifelong fisherman, her husband, Jesse, runs his own business, Nice Catch Charters.

Jacqueline Parker works as a manager at Charlotte’s Birdsong Brewing Co., where she occasionally sees some of her classmates. She’s also a published author, having recently appeared in an anthology with Manchester-based Small Leaf Press. Her short story, “Black Cat,” placed first in Prime Number Magazine’s 2021 Award in Short Fiction.
Simon Bird ’10 and Eleanor Clegg celebrated their wedding on September 7 in Bordeaux, France, surrounded by loved ones. Several friends from Queens were able to celebrate in person and via Facetime.
