A student recently came to the newly renamed Stan Greenspon Holocaust and Social Justice Education Center on Queens campus. He’d heard about an incident of racism on another college campus and wanted to make sure athletes at Queens would be protected if they publicly stood up to racism.

justice isn’t always clear,” explained Rabbi Judy Schindler, Sklut Professor of Jewish Studies and founding director of Te Center. “We helped him create an anti-racism pledge for Queens athletes.”
