death of her sister-in-law, Jane Mayfield Jackson ’46, who passed away on October 14, 2020.

1966 Te class expresses sympathy toLynn Caligan Livingston on the death of her husband, Archie S. Livingston, who passed away on February 9.

Nancy McLeod Sabia and husband, Louis, have almost retired from real estate in Coral Gables, Florida, after Louis retired from a long career with IBM. Nancy has three children: Julie, a University of Miami admissions administrator; Caroline, a biologist with the government; and Graham, the director of Hold Fast Foundation, a 501(C)(3) that helps Wounded Warriors with adventures on the ocean. She also has four grandchildren: Charlotte, William, Julia and Sena. Busy life!

Te class expresses sympathy to Sue Mullen Setzer on the death of her husband, Te Reverend C. Peter Setzer, who passed away on December 31, 2020.

1967 Two classmates deserve a special shoutout for organizing the class database for the 50th Reunion and beyond: NASA rock star computer programmer Rosie Beaudrot Graham developed the Gmail database, andEloise Pierson Mason has the herculean task of keeping it updated and communicating with the class. In addition, Eloise created and oversees a private Facebook page she created for the class. She explains that if you wish to go to this private page to sign up for access, you must use your personal Facebook account and ask to “friend” Eloise Pierson Mason. She will do the rest for the set up. Te group has more than 50 classmates on this private page at this time. If you have signed up with Eloise and wish to access this private page, go to your personal Facebook account and look in the column to the far left that lists groups, pages and such that you are a member of, or have “liked” and Queens ’67 should be listed there.

Eloise Pierson Mason in Lynchburg, Virginia, andMichele Prestera Craig in Huntington, West Virginia, are in close touch and connect to drive down together to Charlotte for get-togethers with classmates. Rosie Beaudrot Graham comes to Charlotte to visit her daughter, who is in the medical profession there. Both Connie Gill Rogers and Fran Mathay will throw out the welcome mat to any 1967 classmates who come to Charlotte. Tese alumnae hope to see many more of you in person at their 55th Reunion in 2022. If you have changes in your address or life, please let the Queens Alumni Office know of these changes as well as notifyingEloise Pierson Mason by email: eloisepmason@gmail.com.

Fran Mathay and Connie Gill Rogers were roommates their senior year at Queens and ended up in Charlotte together. Living only a mile apart, they see one another on a regular basis and decided to do a collaborative report on a few classmates to illustrate how they are keeping the “home fires burning” for all. But before they do, Fran, the class president (who gained this role from TennesseanRosie Beaudrot Graham by default by living in Charlotte),would like to make a recommendation for the spring 2022 reunion to invite the Class of 1966 to join us as our sister class. Since the Class of 1966 could not officially meet for its Spring 2021 reunion, Fran initially shared this idea of combining these sister classes with her dear friend, Sally O’Rourke Morris, ’66. Sally thought it was brilliant and shared it with her Alpha Delta Pi sorority sisters: Ene Watkins Pate of Georgia, Jackie WhiteMcGrath of California and Sara Marcia Perley Rafter of Folly Beach, South Carolina. Tey, too, liked the idea of a sister class reunion. Sally and husband, Joe, are always game for hosting the group at a casual reunion gathering in their home. After all, 55 years have passed since their Queens graduations, and it would be wonderful to meld the two classes.

During the quarantine, a safe pod was created among Connie Gill Rogers and her husband, Al; Fran Mathay andCarolyn Brewer Watts. Carolyn, who lives close to Jane Morris Curlee, visited at a distance with Jane and Jane’s husband, Max. To keep out of mischief and being curtailed by the pandemic, Jane and Carolyn have been doing renovations and updates to their homes. Other Charlotte classmate connections are Libby Mize Guinan, whom Fran has seen walking in their neighborhood when Libby and her husband, Richard, are not at their beach house. Fran is also in frequent touch with Judith Anderson Cheston since they share the same book club. Judith often visits her daughter and grandchildren in New Jersey. Known as a natural host and hostess to Queens classmates, Connie and Al often entertained before the pandemic and hadBonnie Chappell Dove to dinner before Bonnie moved to an active retirement community across the border in Fort Mill, South Carolina. She loves her new

community. Connie and Al also visited Connie’s freshman year roommate, Cynthia Hale Gross, recently in St. Augustine, Florida. Connie and Cynthia keep in contact with their freshman suitemates—Susan Storey Stanton and her husband, who recently moved into a retirement community in Atlanta to be closer to family, and Denny Hubbard Meacham, who now resides in Burlington, Vermont, to be near her daughter and 12-year-old granddaughter. In addition, Connie keeps tabs onAnn Marie Sossamon Woffindin, who lives in Asheville, North Carolina, with her husband, Sam, andToby Merk, who grew up with Connie in Connecticut and lives in Vermont. Another friend of Connie’s, Virginia Robinson Brown in Pittsboro, North Carolina, recently moved into an assisted-living facility. Fran Mathay drives byLynn Faulk Murray’s former house in Charlotte and always thinks of her and husband, Mal, who retired to the Lake Norman area. It is a rare sighting to see Lynn in Charlotte, where
