Big dreams are as common as backpacks on college campuses. As students fulfill degree requirements, they also plot career ambitions, and while professors shepherd students along the way, they too have dreams to fulfill. It’s not a lack of imagination or drive that keeps these dreams from coming to fruition; it’s mostly a lack of funds. “In academic research, funding and time are always a
