GETT PROVIDES LIFTS HOME AS FUNDRAISERS WALK TO BEAT CANCER

Gett was one of the official taxi providers for Cancer Research UK’s Shine Night Walk, for the fifth year running. Gett – the UK’s favourite black cab app – supported the Shine Night Walk against cancer in their fifth year as one of the event’s official taxi providers. Londoners participating in Cancer Research UK’s night-time walking marathon on September 24th were able to book cabs home throughout the night, by visiting the Gett travel desk at the venue. “As London’s brave fundraisers spend up to 14 hours walking the

the Shine Night Walk for the fifth year in a row, to help participants get home safely once they’ve crossed that finish line.” The Gett team manned the stand all night long to help participants book travel home.

Magical Taxi Tour started its annual journey to Paris on 16 September. Organised by the Worshipful Company of Hackney Carriage Drivers, the event kicked off with a special breakfast in Canary Wharf. Afterwards 93 taxis set off on the three-day trip, taking 100 children, suffering from chronic illnesses and conditions, together with their families and carers, to Disneyland Paris for a trip of a lifetime. A massive well done and thank you to the London taxi drivers involved,

precious time, especially as it coincided with the Queen’s state funeral. As you can see from the reaction and statistics relating to PHTM’s Face- book post, which reached over 1.2 million people and received over 20,000 likes, the cabbies’ endeavours were also greatly appreciated by the wider public as well. PHTM - so proud of our trade!
