Join the Information Professions’ leading voices at CILIP Conference
The countdown to CILIP Conference 2023 is on and Rob Green looks at what you can expect from the new-look, new-feel event. With themes focussing on Leadership, the event will bring together established, emerging and aspiring leaders from across the library, knowledge management and information management sectors.
CILIP Conference will have a new look and feel as it moves to Birmingham for 2023. With an emphasis on ‘top- of-mind’ leadership opportunities and challenges, it promises to deliver an experience tailored to the needs of established leaders, emerging leaders, and aspiring leaders. For the fi rst time, CILIP Conference will take the form of a residential, helping to foster a feeling of relaxed, yet purposeful networking for all those who attend. It will fuel ideas, spark debate, and create an atmosphere of collaboration and knowl- edge sharing. Delegates will also hear from some of the industries brightest thinkers, with quality speakers and keynotes already confi rmed.
Leaders from across the information professions are facing a raft of new oppor- tunities, while simultaneously grappling with challenges that are aff ecting all sectors. These ‘Top-of-mind’ subjects include:

Keynotes
Keynote speaker Rebecka Isaksson, Part- ner and Director Content & Collaboration AI at AI Lab Sweden AB, will be opening the conference. With interest in Artifi cial Intelligence exploding in recent months, following the release of Open AI’s ChatGPT, her opening keynote will provide a timely look beyond the hype.
Rebecka will focus on implementing AI as a tool to improve wellbeing and working practices for both individuals and organi- sations, with her speech Driving business value through AI-powered Knowledge Management. You can read a full interview with Rebecka on pp. 18-21. Rebecka will also be taking part in some of the Conference’s specialist KM strands that
