Computing Champions Using a range of hardware and software, Computing Champions
runs engaging workshops for primary school-age children. Its hands-on sessions will develop pupils’ knowledge of ICT and computing across topics such as programming, app development and multimedia content creation (including animations, videos, podcasts, blogs and presentations). Lead ICT consultant Neil Rickus (also an experienced primary school teacher) has worked with students and teachers worldwide and is also able to deliver sessions and workshops remotely.

Junior Stem – LEGO Robotics These cross-curricular STEM workshops use LEGO Education
resources to deliver fun, practical sessions on programming, engineering and robotics. In a JuniorSTEM workshop, children build fantastic LEGO models and then bring them to life using software linked to motors and sensors. Workshops are designed to stimulate creativity and encourage the development of personal skills such as teamwork, problem- solving and determination. Working in pairs, up to 32 pupils can take part in a single session.

Tablet Academy The Tablet Academy’s extensive student enrichment
programme has been developed to cover all key stages and is delivered by qualified educators. Workshop topics include robotics (where students have the opportunity to build and programme LEGO Mindstorms robots), virtual reality, cyber security and code-breaking (where pupils work against the clock to stop a simulated cyber-attack). Sessions can be delivered in the classroom or any other public location and all equipment is included.

EdUnity – App Design This one-day workshop enables school children to discover
and understand the processes that go into designing and building an application to perform specific tasks. From helping participants understand the concepts of development and coding of this software to the importance of privacy and collaboration, the workshop challenges students to build an app for their school. Workshops are led by the edtech co-founders of EdUnity and can be designed to suit both primary and secondary pupils.
