BOOSTING YOUR BUSINESS

GROWTH WITH A KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER PARTNERSHIP

The University of Central Lancashire can help you bring innovative ideas to fruition through collaboration and in partnership with our University experts.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) are a three-way collaboration. They are a government-funded programme through Innovate UK. Our KTPs can give your business a competitive advantage by helping to increase your profits, knowledge and capability.

Each KTP is a collaborative partnership between your business and the University. Our highly experienced KTP team will support you throughout the process. You will have access to our knowledge, technology and skills supported by a qualified KTP associate. Projects can last between 12 and 36 months.

Our KTPs can provide many business benefits: • Increase profits, knowledge and capability

• Gain a competitive advantage through new products, processes and services

• Introduce new technology through innovation • Become more efficient and set for growth • Solve a challenge your business is facing

• Gain access to University academic expertise, facilities, resources and support

• Access to a broad range of independent advice

We are passionate about supporting businesses of all sizes across a huge variety of industries and sectors. Our KTPs are available to UK-based businesses of any size, including not-for-profit organisations such as social enterprises and charities.

A KTP will give your business access to help with funding of between 50-67% through Innovate UK, making KTPs the perfect way to improve your business. A typical KTP project delivers a package of support valued at around £80,000 to £100,000 per year.

Our KTPs have had a positive impact on the businesses we work with, helping them to gain a competitive advantage and improve their processes.

Read what businesses say about our KTPs: “The business has benefited

greatly from this work and we

have now applied for a second KTP to assist in filling a knowledge gap in a different discipline. Silentnight would encourage

other businesses to look to KTPs to future proof themselves.” Danny Blackmore, New Product

Implementation Manager at Silentnight

“The KTP has allowed our business to understand much more about our products than we previously thought.”

Darren Marcangelo, Commercial Director of Spinks Springs, Harrison Spinks

“We are sure that it will help us successfully develop our

current product together with our future planned devices.” Robin Slinger, Chairman of Swellaway
