Apprenticeships are structured training programmes which deliver ‘job specific’ skills. They allow you to train employees in your company practices and develop the skills required to meet organisational needs.
Twenty per cent of an apprenticeship must involve ‘off the job’ training such as: practical learning; research; work shadowing; or even visiting other departments to enhance industry knowledge.
Skills development in the workplace is supported by your own experienced staff. Apprenticeships are a productive and effective way to grow talent and develop a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce, adding to your company productivity.
Designed by employers and available to learners aged 16+, apprenticeships can support the skills development of new recruits and also develop the talent of an existing workforce. Apprenticeships in Lancashire
Throughout Lancashire, expert apprenticeship providers offer diverse training up to and including degree apprenticeships. Government funding is available to support with apprenticeship training costs and the Lancashire Levy Transfer Network (LLTN) provides an impartial and free service that matches Lancashire businesses wanting to transfer unused apprenticeship levy funds to businesses seeking support to fund the costs of apprenticeship training.
