Graham J Stuart, freelance business development manager:

Good to see that Recovery and Resilience planning is now high on the agenda and that Lancashire businesses owners/managers are now reaching out for support.

We know that there are likely to be many challenges in 2022 and this affects how people think/feel when they have to deal with enforced change, anxiety, confusion, isolation, lack of focus, direction and personal well-being.

But if we can break the cycle by providing a different type of business environment – where people can step back, gain a different perspective, become more active by being in nature, enhance wellbeing, up-skill, learn coping techniques – and be part of a collaborative community of like-minded peers, we could animate positive resilience outcomes.

Jason Kingston, director @ Cube Thinking:

Agree with all points raised here.

Our observation has been the higher the performance of a business, the higher their resilience is evidenced through strategic thinking, planning and doing, in addition to the mindset.

As we moved to the ‘90 per cent economy’ the businesses that now remain (plus fresh start ups) are demonstrating a much more proactive and continuous improvement approach.
