EVENTS NEWS
The sun shone down on the RSM Open Day!
RSM Lining Supplies Global Ltd’s fifth Open Day was a fantastic success, with over two hundred attendees showing up to enjoy a day full of demonstrations & presentations; new product launches; networking; plenty of food & drink; and their after party hosted by Judge Jules.
It had been a long 4 years since RSM were last able to host such an event due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and they were delighted to open their doors once more. Since their last Open Day, RSM have relocated, introduced a multitude of new products, and built a fantastic team of individuals that create the RSM family.
RSM Lining Supplies Global Ltd was founded in 2003 by Managing Director Richard Davis, and in 2006 they moved to their first 200 square foot unit employing just 2 people. Seventeen years later, the business is now a multinational organisation employing 55 staff at their 45,000 sq. ft Head Office in Doncaster.
In July 2022, RSM made the move to their new facility which increased their warehouse and office space from 12,000 square feet to 45,000. Their new facility has allowed them to increase their stock holding significantly as their product catalogue continues to expand with new, innovative materials and equipment. They have also been able to enhance their impregnation capability with the introduction of a second impregnation table to ensure they can continue to keep up with customer demand.
The move allowed them to expand their specialist service and repair centre and upon their relocation they made the decision to incorporate a bespoke training facility. Three years ago, RSM introduced the first EU Skills and WRc approved lining and training course that has ever been offered. This has been a huge success with over 500 engineers passing
the course since it began.
Since the last Open Day, RSM’s fastest growing product range has been their Pressure Pipe liner, Fero Force. This is the only structural, reactive pressure pipe solution available. Their offer of design, impregnation, delivery, and technical assistance on site has been instrumental in its growth and it has now been adopted by multiple water authorities as the choice of material for pressure pipe repairs. Fero Force is also the fastest solution available in the market for pressure pipe repair.
With the launch of some fantastic new additions to RSM’s extensive product range, those that attended the Open Day were lucky enough to see a variety of demonstrations of RSM’s new and existing product range, such as a demonstration of the Fero Force liner! During the Fero Force installation, they introduced some of their newest technology with the VeriCure System. This is a cure monitoring system with optical fibres monitoring temperatures at all points of the liner. It verifies the cure and installation of the liner, allowing the installer to achieve a full cure in less time. Ultimately, it reduces labour, equipment, and fuel costs.
RSM also premiered their brand-new camera system, the RSM Gecko Cam. This is the first ever camera system offered by RSM which they believe perfectly complements their current product range. It is a push rod system with a self-levelling camera, available with 40, 60, 80, and 120 metres of cable.
Along with this, RSM have expanded their range of UV LED cure technology with the upgraded Sewertronics LEDRig and the brand new Sewertronics SpeedyLight+ VX System. They have also expanded their range of UV LED resins with the introduction of their leak tight UV LED resin, which is the only IKT tested leak tight UV cured resin available in the market. All the above were demonstrated by RSM’s well- experienced technical team throughout the day.
Additionally, RSM recently expanded one of their most popular product lines to encompass two new variations. RSM Echo Liner was first introduced to the CIPP industry back in 2020 and fast became a well- known brand within the market. It offers a flexible lining solution for sewer rehabilitation and has the capability to go round bends of up to 90 degrees. Echo liner is seam-free to guarantee optimum flexibility and compatible with all curing methods.
The new Echo Glass has a circular knit construction reinforced with fibreglass. The addition of glass offers a higher strength characteristic than with traditional Echo Liner, providing an increased level of support for the installation. Echo Diameter Change has a similar construction but includes elastomeric yarns to increase the elasticity of the liner. This means it has the capability to undertake two diameter changes, making it the perfect solution when re-lining host pipes demonstrating multiple
