Glanville Trenchless has successfully undertaken a series of demanding lining schemes recently, after taking a significant step forward by acquiring the Blue Light UV Lining System, enhancing efficiency and delivering outstanding results for their lining projects.
The team introduced the cutting-edge Blue Light UV Lining System in July. Since its implementation, this groundbreaking technology has been employed in numerous lining schemes, consistently yielding high-end results, remarkable durability, and significantly reduced on-site time.
Among their notable recent accomplishments is the successful completion of the Dulverton Water Fit Scheme. Tasked with lining multiple pipes within the Dulverton catchment, the team delivered exceptional outcomes, showcasing their expertise and commitment to excellence.
Prompt action was required to address groundwater infiltration in a sewer pipe. Glanville Trenchless opted for a trenchless solution using CIPP lining due to accessibility and the need for swift rehabilitation. This approach effectively sealed joints and defects along the entire pipe length, preventing groundwater seepage. To reinforce the pipe and mitigate future water ingress, the LED UV system was employed. Despite its slim 4mm thickness, the chosen lining material proved remarkably durable and efficient in
preventing water infiltration.
To ensure a seamless workflow, the team strategically positioned additional manholes to access the underground sewers. One manhole was located in a garden, while the second was located in a lane serving twelve houses.
Preserving lane accessibility was paramount in shaping the approach. However, a small bridge over a stream posed a challenge, demanding portable equipment and a minimal installation footprint. By employing essential tools like the LED UV system, the team streamlined operations, efficiently completing the job to ensure convenience for the residents.
Through the successful implementation of the Blue Light LED UV system and a strategic approach, the Trenchless team effectively addressed the issue of groundwater infiltration in a 48-meter, 225mm clay sewer pipe.
The focus on portability and minimising equipment footprint allowed the team to complete the task efficiently, resulting in substantial time savings compared to conventional methods. Notably, the streamlined process minimised disruption to the access lane while ensuring the long-term stability of the sewer system. This achievement showcases our commitment to delivering durable solutions and maintaining operational efficiency.
