TheWRc Approved™ Scheme is a voluntary certification schemewhich provides an independent technical viewonwhether a product is fit to do the job forwhich it is claimed, or a contractor is fit to provide a specified service. Assessment includes auditing thematerials used, quality control procedures duringmanufacture, design and


installation guidance, company procedures and on-sitewitnessing of installation.


Back in the early 1990’smany companieswere claiming to beWRc Approved even though no official scheme existed! Spotting an opportunity to assist purchasersmake informed decisions, theWRc Approved™ Schemewas launched in 1995.Whilst the scheme can assess any product or service, the products currently certified include:
