INDUSTRIAL AND LOGISTICS

The Sheffield City Region has experienced large amounts of investment due to the central locality and improved transport routes, which suits industrial and logistics use. Peel Logistics will create a new flagship logistics park with development starting in 2018 with a potential 834,000 sq ft of office and industrial space being built.

THE DIGITAL CAMPUS

The latest phase of Digital Campus will add another two striking buildings to the skyline of Sheffield, adjacent to Electric Works and Ventana House. Scarborough International Properties and joint venture partner Metro Holdings of Singapore have developed the latest Grade A office building, Acero, which has been let and recently sold to Britannia Investment.

AIRPORT CONNECTIVITY

Doncaster Sheffield Airport is the fastest growing in the country and with the Finningley and Rossington Regeneration Route Scheme (FARRRS) project - now known as Great Yorkshire Way - has provided a new highway from the M18 at junction three to Doncaster Sheffield Airport with links into Rossington and the iPort development.

TRAM TRAIN

National pilot scheme to provide a link between Sheffield City Centre (Cathedral tram stop) and Rotherham Parkgate, the vehicles are designed to run on both the Stagecoach Supertram system and the national rail network.
