A world leading internet retailer has signed an agreement for lease for a 1.5m sq ft fulfilment centre in Darlington in the North East of England. The letting is the largest industrial and logistics deal in the North East ever. Colliers’ Industrial & Logistics team advised db Symmetry on the off-market acquisition of the 90-acre site and subsequent pre-let.

Advised US investment manager Angelo Gordon and Trinity Investment Management on the £95m acquisition of Mars Pension Fund’s Business Environments for Science and Technology (BEST). The portfolio comprises five UK science parks including the Wilton Centre, Redcar with the others in Edinburgh, Manchester, Kent and Havant. The BEST portfolio comprises the UK’s largest private network of science and technology parks.

Advised St Modwen on the acquisition of Billingham Town Centre in 2014 and now provide strategic development advice and are retained as letting agents. The scheme comprises over 320,000 sq ft of mixed-use accommodation with the retail floor space anchored by Asda, Argos, Boots and B&M.
