Finishing by Buffing… No other method of finishing can produce such a spectacular finish. Buffing allows you to produce any type of finish you want from a glass-like finish to a soſt patina that begs to be held. Buffing plastics and stabilized woods creates a permanent high gloss without the need of an exterior finish. For the finest finish possible, we recommend buffing with all three types of compound.

Tree types of wheels are used for buffing, Linen (used with Tripoli), Linen/Cotton Blend (used with White Diamond), and Cotton Flannel (used with Carnauba).

How it works: 1. Sand piece to 220 grit or finer abrasive 2. Seal piece with one or more coats of penetrating oil and let dry

3. Buff with Tripoli 4. Buff with White Diamond 5. Buff with Carnauba Wax

Recommended buffing speeds are 1725 rpm for wheels over 4" diameter and 3450 rpm for wheels 4" or smaller.

Lathes, buffing motors

and handheld rotary tools can all be used for buffing.
