Turning by Nick Agar
Baroque Art Gilder’s Paste Tis professional grade gilding paste lets you create brilliant gilded finishes and colored effects for added beauty and contrast on wood turnings, carvings and other woodwork. It is wax-based and highly concentrated for a long-lasting, deep, rich look that is easy to create. Unlike other gilding pastes we have tried, real metallic pigments are used in these gilding pastes so you create an authentic gilded finish. Apply the gilding paste on or off the lathe using a brush, sponge or cloth. It can also be thinned with paint thinner for use as a stain, wash or spray. Dry to the touch in about 60 minutes, you can apply a top coat such as lacquer, varnish, shellac, or urethane finish. A little goes a long way... just
