BORDERLESSLIVE
INSPIRING FUTURE GENERATIONS
The inaugural BorderlessLive event for content creators took place in September – and is set to return in 2020
A
new event to connect content creators and digital influencers with the travel
industry last month (6-7 September) attracted almost 40 exhibitors and more than 700 delegates. BorderlessLive, organised by Reed Exhibitions and Traverse, brought together aspiring and established content creators to learn, collaborate, and be inspired by the influencer community, and also to connect with travel organisations and destinations looking to work with them. Session highlights included a
presentation by the Budget Traveller – Kash Bhattacharya – who spoke about his own code of ethics and his desire to present travel in accurate detail, providing content that is honest and informative to his legion of followers. A session called “Using Social Media for Positive Social Change”
was hosted by diversity-in-travel consultant Martinique Lewis, with panellists sharing how they had used their platform for good, and giving tips and advice on using animals and children in content responsibly.
global impact Travel and lifestyle content creator Sorelle Amore described how she has successfully focused on quality, not quantity, with her niche audience, while travel influencer Louis Cole – aka Fun for Louis – announced an initiative in which content creators will work together to make a bigger, positive impact for global communities.
BORDERLESSLIVE 2020 takes place at London's Tobacco Dock on 11-12 September 2020.
