Countryside Bible Church Meade, Kansas Seeking Pastor
countrysidebiblechurch.net Tis fall we celebrated the lives of two
members of our church who went to be with the Lord. Jake Z. Friesen lived to be 105 and Esther L. Harms lived to be 99. Both members had great testimonies of lives lived by faith, and were both very loved by the members of our church. Former pastor Paul Boeker came for the memorial service of Jake Z. Friesen and encouraged us through passages from Titus 2 that Jake loved. We mourn with their families, but also rejoice in the Lord
that they are enjoying the presence of their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are still without a pastor. In the
meantime, we are enjoying the different speakers that our Elders have provided, and we continue to trust the Lord to provide a pastor for us. Our speakers have come from like-minded churches in Kan- sas and they have faithfully encouraged us from God’s Word each week. Various men from within our church are providing the teaching for the Sunday evening service. We are blessed to have very giſted men able to accurately handle the word of God. In November, Abigail Bartel will travel
to Cameroon, Africa on a short-term mission trip with World Team. She is so excited and praises the Lord for his abun- dant provision for her trip, including the quick receipt of a visa. She will help with an agricultural project in Cameroon and hopes to see the Gospel spread through church plants done by World Team. We look forward to hearing from her what the Lord does during her trip. Also, in November, some of our own
missionaries will speak at our Harvest Missions Festival. Joe and Denise Goossen will update us on what the Lord is doing through their printing ministry in Ukraine. Te Ladies Ministry Team encouraged
our church ladies to attend a women’s con- ference at the end of October. We joined Susan Heck and the women of Grace Community Church of Broken Arrow, Okla., to hear author and speaker Martha Peace. It was a wonderful time of fellow- ship and encouragement. Our annual “Ladies Candlelight Des-
sert” in December will feature a speaker and raise funds to bless our women missionar- ies. Children are practicing for the annual Christmas program to be given in early De- cember. Te children will sing and share the Christmas story, and a children’s message will be given by our elder, Jerome Wiens. Rachael Wiens, Correspondent
