Los Cabos BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, MEXICO

Located at the tip of the Baja Peninsula, almost 1,000 miles south of San Diego, lies the most upscale resort in Mexico — Los Cabos. It’s comprised primarily of two towns, San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, which are linked by a 20-mile corridor lined with world-class resort properties. Cabo San Lucas, noted for its vitality and

nightlife, offers a variety of attractions including the marina while San Jose del Cabo is just as interesting. The downtown main plaza has become an art district with art from all over the world. Visit on a Thursday night for the vibrant atmosphere of the ‘Art Walk’ where galleries stay open late to show off their wares. Los Cabos is situated between the Pacific

Ocean and the Sea of Cortes and includes Cabo Pulmo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. World famous for its marine diversity, the region is a key whale-watching spot between the months of November through March, when hundreds of humpback, blue and grey whales make their epic journey south from the Arctic.

Los Cabos has also become a desirable

location for weddings and honeymoons. The options for weddings or renewals of vows include an ocean-front ceremony overlooking the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas or a sophisticated soiree on the terrace of a luxury resort or wedding venue. Los Cabos and its surrounding areas

offer water-based activities such as surfing, kite surfing, marine safaris, scuba diving and snorkelling. Popular land activities include golf, zip-lining, hiking and biking. Located on the Pacific coast, the eclectic

town of Todos Santos, which is an hour north of Los Cabos, offers a robust art scene in addition to an unusual microclimate. Then there’s La Paz, which is two hours from Los Cabos and serves as a departure point for the incredible Espiritu Santo Islands. Wildlife enthusiasts shouldn’t miss the opportunity to swim with the giant whale sharks and playful sea lions. Overall, visitors to Baja California are

rewarded with an experience rich in Mexican culture and nature.

HIGHLIGHT... Marine safaris off the coast of Los Cabos offer visitors the chance to see whales and even swim with whale sharks and sea lions
