coastline of each island with expert naturalist guides on a variety of smaller boats — kayaks, canoes, or best of all, a glass-bottom boat. The Isabela II offers three incredible itineraries covering wide expanses, all of which have been carefully designed by experienced Galápagos naturalist guides. Each itinerary is a crowd-pleaser, as they’re all adapted to guests’ needs and time constraints. Adventure seekers can enjoy the world’s largest concentration of endemic animals, swim, sunbathe and float in turquoise waters, practise dry snorkelling on the glass-bottom boat, kayak, or just get in the water to get close with the docile sea-lions and tiny penguins. The yacht has been designed for an adventurous crowd with a clear focus on exploring the islands as much as possible. For the time spent aboard, Isabela II includes a natural history library, an observation deck, and a sun deck with a pool. Guests
have time to relax and learn as much as possible about the mysteries that still obsess scientists around the world. The crew always
makes sure that visitors feel safe and cared for, with a 24/7 medical officer on board and a very well-equipped infirmary.
Isabela II was renovated in 2016 to
ensure a welcoming, cosy and sophisticated interior design. Since then, Metropolitan Touring has committed to employing technology that’s sustainable and environmentally friendly. Nonetheless, as Metropolitan Touring has decided to spare no effort or expense in the interest of furthering its guests’ comfort and wellbeing, Isabela II underwent another extensive makeover, unveiled in May 2018. This revamp allows guests to feel more comfortable in new and updated spaces, complementing the day’s outings, and to enjoy fresh air with understated luxury. Metropolitan Touring offers a trip
around many worlds in a few, intense, inspiring days. Each landscape of the Galápagos contains mysteries and wonders, and the crew strives to make sure visitors experience them with the time, energy and support that they, and the islands, deserve. It’s an unforgettable experience that inspires guests to grow and change. Much like its fascinating creatures have been doing for millions of years.
