PAID CONTENT FOR XIGERA SAFARI LODGE

Xigera Safari Lodge OKAVANGO DELTA, BOTSWANA

A FIRST OF ITS KIND, XIGERA REDEFINES SAFARI BY WEAVING TOGETHER WILD BEAUTY, LOCAL CULTURE AND ART INTO AN EVER-CHANGING EXPERIENCE

Xigera Safari Lodge is located in the heart of Botswana’s Okavango Delta, within a private 11,000-acre concession in the Moremi Game Reserve. Designed to reimagine the traditional safari experience, Xigera breaks away from strict itineraries and early wake-up calls. Instead, guests’ days are guided by instinct and curiosity. It’s a philosophy the lodge calls Your Safari, Your Story, which is an invitation to explore on your terms. Mornings might begin in motion, tracking lions

at first light or gliding silently through mirrored waterways in a mokoro canoe. Or they may start in stillness — yoga on the sun deck or coffee in hand as elephants roam just beyond your suite. Days unfold organically. Dine on cuisine crafted

from local, seasonal ingredients, sip cocktails infused with Okavango botanicals, take to the skies on a private helicopter safari to witness the delta’s breathtaking patterns from above, or rejuvenate in the spa with rituals inspired by Indigenous traditions. At Xigera, nothing is scripted. Every moment is flexible, personal and immersive.

Immersion in the wild At Xigera Safari Lodge, wildlife experiences are guided by local experts with deep knowledge of the land. They interpret tracks, sounds and signs of the bush to help you connect more closely with nature. Sightings might include tree-climbing lions, leopards, cheetahs and wild dogs, along with herds of buffalo, red lechwe antelopes, hippos and crocodiles. Birdlife is just as rich, with Pel’s fishing owls and many other species filling the skies and treetops. Each encounter happens naturally, without rush or interference. It’s a chance not just to see the wild, but to experience being part of it.

A lodge crafted by African artistry Xigera Safari Lodge was designed to blend with its surroundings in the Okavango Delta. Its flowing rooflines echo the flight of local birds, and natural materials reflect the textures of trees and water. The Water Lily Pavilion, inspired by the delta’s aquatic plants, offers a quiet space for reflection. The lodge itself is made of art, imagined from

the inside out. More than 80 African artists and artisans contributed to its design — every surface, piece of furniture and detail is handmade. Each of the 12 suites opens to uninterrupted

wilderness views, while the Baobab Treehouse offers a unique opportunity to dine and sleep 30ft above the floodplains and under the stars. Inside and out, Xigera is a thoughtful celebration

of place, culture and creativity, where art and wilderness meet.

Award-winning wellness experiences Wellness is deeply connected to both the land and local traditions at Xigera Safari Lodge. Set apart from any distractions, it’s a place to reset, reflect and reconnect with oneself. The award-winning spa, crafted from timber, combines Tata Harper botanical skincare products with traditional plant-based therapies. Yoga takes place on open-air decks, while guided meditation is accompanied by the sounds of the delta. Guests can also enjoy a swim in the wilderness-framed pool or keep active
