MoD stops online Range West safety briefings

Sadly, due to issues of climbers turning up without watching or understanding the online safety briefing, infringements on restrictions, and also two incidences of groups camping within live firing impact areas – only just spotted before live firing commenced! – the MoD did not feel it could continue with the online briefing has informed the BMC that all visitors to Range West in 2022 will have to attend one of the in-person safety briefing sessions.

NEW FOUR NATIONS I
BOULDERING CHAMPIONSHIPS
A fresh national bouldering series is taking place for the first time this year and we’re looking for everyone to take part.
t’s time to test if you’re the best! The series will include four bouldering rounds taking place across the four nations; England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. You can enter an individual round
or, if you’re up for the challenge, enter all four rounds to compete against everyone with the chance to be crowned series champion. The English Bouldering Championships will be the first round to take place on 26-27 March at Rock Over Climbing in Manchester. The Welsh Bouldering Championships has been confirmed to take place on 7-8 May at Roc-Bloc, the newest dedicated bouldering facility in Cardiff.
