ith the aim of contributing to a world where car crashes and their resulting casualties are a thing of the past, Lexus has been introducing advanced technologies based on its Integrated Safety Management Concept so that all people can enjoy safe and smooth mobility, plus the


fun of driving. At the heart of the LS+ Concept is advanced, yet dignified


styling, with next-generation Lexus design cues that boldly evolve the Spindle Grille for improved cooling and enhanced aerodynamic performance. The distinctive Lexus vision is also expressed in the LS+ Concept through, among other things, partly laser-lit headlamps and rear combination lamps, as well as electronic side mirrors.


Touted as the future of the flagship LS sedan, the LS+ Concept


vehicle is equipped with state-of-the-art, automated driving technologies that symbolise 2020 Lexus’s vision. Through appropriate recognition, judgement and operation by on- board systems in response to actual traffic conditions, these technologies can enable automated merging, lane changes and diverging, as well as keep a vehicle in its lane and maintain vehicle-to-vehicle distance. The car can also communicate with a data centre to update its systems’ software, allowing new functions to be added, while retaining relevant information on roads, surrounding areas and driving conditions. The LS+ Concept car, which can learn and grow along with


its users, represents a new age for the image of cars to which people can become emotionally attached.
