BLANK is Awarded the Innovation Prize of the German Foundry Industry

After a two-year break due to Covid,

the German Foundry Day took place again in Münster on 5 and 6 May 2022. This is an important part of the annual programme in the industry and provided the right platform for interesting lectures, an accompanying trade exhibition and for the presentation of the Innovation Award. This prize is dedicated to Prof. Dr.-Ing. Dr.-Ing. E.h. Peter R. Sahm and is the most important innovation prize in the German foundry industry.

FEINGUSS BLANK GmbH was

pleased to receive the award this year: in recognition of outstanding achievements and sustainable innovations in the field of material and process development. The president of the Bundesverband der Deutschen Gießerei-Industrie (German Foundry Industry Association) Dipl.-Ing. Clemens Küpper and the president of the Verein Deutscher Gießereifachleute e.V. (German Foundry Experts Association) Dr.-Ing. Jens Wiesenmüller presented the certificate and the award to Dipl.-Ing. Alexander Lenert, Managing Director of the BLANK-Group, at a ceremony during the German Foundry Day. In his speech, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Franz Josef Feikus, Chairman of the advisory board of the Forschungsvereinigung Gießereitechnik e. V. (Foundry Technology Research Association), explained the background of the award. He said that the award was not limited to a specific project at BLANK but was a general recognition of the BLANK-Group’s commitment to the further development and increased efficiency of the investment casting process.
