Carlos Olabe is the current CEO of the European Investment Casters Federation [EICF], serving this position since the end of 2014. Mr. Olabe has been linked to the aerospace industry for a period over 20 years. He served as Programmes Director of the Engine company of Spain (ITP) managing engine programmes such as EJ200, Trent 700, Trent 800, Trent 500, Trent 900. Subsequently Mr. Olabe served as CEO of PCB, during 10 years. A brand-new world-class investment casting Company in Spain which he took the mission to create and project internationally.
During this period Mr. Olabe was member of the Board of Directors of the EICF, being Chairman of the Federation for a period of 4 years supporting an interesting period of revitalization of the EICF and contributing personally to the establishment of the global circuit..... Akira Yoshizawa has been the Group Leader in
the Technical & Environmental Division for Japan Foundry Society, Inc. since March 2021. He is a graduate of the Tokyo Institute of Technology (Department of Metallurgy). Akira joined Casting Technology Research Laboratory (name changed in 2019 as Metallurgical Research Laboratory, Functional Components Research Dept.) of Hitachi Metals Co Ltd. His career includes engineering for Al road wheel production at both Kumagaya Works and AAP St. Marys Corp. in Ohio, USA for four years. Akira’s primary research and
working fields have focused on technology development for casting and the peripheral (sand/permanent mold, mechanical property, melting, etc.), casting material and process for aluminum alloys metal flow and solidification CAE(Al steel and cast iron), and 3D printing sand mold process and trial casting with 3D wax model, etc.
He also has contributed to the local casting industry as counselor, director at the Kanto branch of Japan Foundry Engineering Society (JFS), and a member of editorial board of JFS from 2000.
