DATA security is of increasing concern. Consumers across the EU show significant levels of concern about security of payments and personal data (Figures 39 & 40). The rate of cyber breaches in relation to attacks appears alarmingly high in the accommodation and retail sectors (Figures 41 & 42) and among smaller firms (figure 43). The rate at which points of sale are compromised by attacks also appears high (Figure 45).
