Q. What’s your top tip for an agent attending the AAAs for the first time this year? A. My tip would be to pace yourself – it is a fabulous night, so enjoy every moment! And make sure you book the next day off…


Q. What does the future hold for travel agencies? A. There is no doubt that it is a hugely competitive environment for the trade, and agents have an extremely tough job; they need the expertise to deal with an infinitely diverse range of customer requests. Partnering with suppliers that are going to work with them, rather than against them, and building robust relationships will be integral to agents’ success. Similarly, agents keeping themselves ahead of the curve and seeking further education by attending events, training and fam trips will be key. If you look around the room at the AAAs you will see agents who have reinvented themselves, tried something different and continue to go the extra mile. With talented and resourceful individuals like these in our industry, I think the future for travel agents is very bright.


Q. What song is guaranteed to get you on the dancefloor at the spectacular after-party? A. I’m a bit old school but if CeCe Peniston’s Finally comes on you may see me doing the ‘walking to the dance floor’ walk.


Q. What will you be wearing? A. Whatever I can squeeze into on July 12.
