So good… we did it again!


Back in 2017 we took 40 agents off to the grand old USA and split them into four different groups to experience


four separate itineraries. Taking in seven states between them and a fi nale full of fun in Florida, the groups proved just how valuable fi rst-hand experience is by returning to the UK and selling more USA packages than ever before! In fact, they told us that their knowledge about the destination had increased signifi cantly and in turn so had their confi dence to recommend the cities, tours and excursions they experienced.

Partnering once again with Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines, Gold Medal and Travel 2 set out to pull out all the stops for our second trip stateside. 40 agents were awarded their places following a three-month booking incentive, along with a number of wild card places, and joined us in April for the trip of a lifetime. Throughout these pages you can read all about the four groups and their time in the USA, so you too can gather knowledge and insight into this fascinating and diverse country.

We tried to weave in as much as possible into these tailor-made itineraries and showcase a different aspect of the country across the four groups. We were also keen to introduce our agents to some emerging US cities including Seattle and Salt Lake City, which are both seeing signifi cant growth from UK visitors and are part of our current product extension.


My advice to agents would be to recommend a twin or multi- centre itinerary where possible. The more customers can explore and experience, opens up a world of possibilities and makes their holiday twice as nice!”
