Super Break fuses ranges into one UK-wide brochure

Juliet Dennis juliet.dennis@travelweekly.co.uk

Super Break has merged its UK and London brochures into one new-look collection after conducting a poll of agents’ preferences.

The operator’s 148-page UK and

London Short Breaks brochure, which replaces two previous standalone programmes, focuses heavily on packaged breaks and is designed to inspire clients to travel. It features fewer hotels in a clear move away from a “hotel catalogue” design format. The first section of the brochure

is devoted to providing ideas and reasons for travelling on the operator’s breaks. It then splits the country

into regions, highlighting key attractions in each area. Each region has ‘Save, Spend, Splurge’ suggestions to show the range of packages to meet different budgets, and features hotel details.

Best Served Scandinavia adds ice domes and luxury lodges

Best Served Scandinavia has boosted its accommodation and experiences range in its new winter-spring 2018-19 brochure. The wider range has added stays in ice domes and

luxury lodges, while new experiences include tasting locally made gin, vodka and aquavit at the world’s

icon, which also appears against the hotels offering that type of break to make it easier for agents to find the right property for clients. For London, breaks are further

split into themes including ‘history buffs’, ‘theatre lovers’, ‘families and big kids’ and ‘city explorers’. National sales manager Gary Gillespie said the new brochure was based on agents’ feedback, including the increased focus on packaged breaks. He added: “We asked agents

The operator has also divided

its packaged breaks into 12 types, including dinner deals, afternoon tea, shopping, Friday night out, culture and royalty, entertainment and sport breaks. Each package has a separate

what they wanted and the feedback was very much that one brochure would be better. It will allow more racking space in stores and also means there are more cross-selling opportunities with all our UK products in one place. “We want to provide agents

with a brochure that can be used as a selling tool rather than a hotel catalogue.” Not all hotels are featured in the new brochure but the operator’s

northernmost distillery, the Aurora Spirit Distillery, and sampling Arctic tapas. The four-day Tromso Ice Dome break combines a

city stay with a night at the newly created Tromso Ice Domes – seven intricately carved suites in the Tamok Valley. Snowshoe hiking and a wildnerness dinner cooked on an open fire are offered every night as well as a husky safari ride. The operator has also introduced several escorted tours including Hunting the Aurora in North and South

Iceland and an escorted Santa break. best-served.co.uk
