Team Kerry SEATTLE, WASHINGTON – LAS VEGAS
Tucked away in the far north west of the US, Seattle and the wider Washington state have so much to offer from cities, beaches, wilderness and National Parks, as Team Kerry discovered…
Day 1 After a relaxing fl ight on board Virgin Atlantic’s 787 Dreamliner the team headed north towards the Canadian border to Bellingham, with a stop along the way for dinner at The Oyster
Bar on Chuckanut Drive offering amazing views across Pugent Sound.
Day 2 The rainy weather didn’t dampen Team Kerry’s spirits on a cruise out to Vendovi Island in the San Juan archipelago. A nature walk took the team through wildfl ower meadows to Sunset Beach. Back on dry (ish) land the team enjoyed a tour and craft beer tasting at Boundary Bay Brewery.
Day 3 The day started with the Future of Flight Aviation Centre and Boeing Tour, an incredible opportunity to see aircrafts being built and assembled. The team then
arrived in Seattle for a busy afternoon of sightseeing including a visit to MoPOP, a Ride the Ducks City Tour, a trip to the top of the iconic Space Needle and a tour of Chihuly Garden and Glass.
Day 4 This morning the team took a guided walking tour beneath Seattle’s sidewalks and streets with Bill Speidel’s Underground Tour, followed by a Savour Seattle Food Tour of Pike Place Market. With 100 years of history the team got to hear the stories of the market and taste the produce including doughnuts, clam chowder, mac ‘n’ cheese and piroshky.
