Team Carla SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH – LAS VEGAS
Home to the Mighty Five National Parks, stunning landscapes and mesmerising scenery, Team Carla got all outdoorsy in Utah… walking boots at the ready!
Day 1 Team Carla hit the ground running with a guided tour of Temple Square. Owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints the complex contains historic buildings and landscapes with the beautiful Salt Lake Temple as its centrepiece.
Day 2 A visit to the Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort provided glorious views of snow- capped mountains and the chance for a quick snowball fi ght! The team then headed on to Utah Olympic Park, host to the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, for more snow- fi lled fun.
Day 3 Driving south the team started their journey through Utah’s parks with visits to Goblin Valley State Park, named after the goblin-like sandstone formations, and Capitol Reef National Park fi lled with
cliffs and canyons. An evening star- gazing provided magnifi cent views of the Milky Way.
Day 4 Moving on, the team arrived in Bryce Canyon National Park with breathtaking views all round. A hike through the hoodoos offered a chance to see the park in all its glory along with some amazing photo opportunities.
Day 5 The fi nal stop for Team Carla was Zion National Park where they enjoyed one of the park’s most popular hikes – The Narrows. Decked out in drysuits the team took to the river hiking up stream, sometimes waist deep, with the canyon faces either side. Back on the road, the team headed onwards to Las Vegas.
