Request for Tender – PR and media support Tourism Fiji is responsible for undertaking marketing and promotional activities to attract more tourists to Fiji. Fiji is an archipelago of 333 islands located in the South Pacific and is famous for its friendly and welcoming people and year-round warm weather. It has pristine oceans, a diverse culture, incredible beaches and a rich marine environment.


The organisation is seeking the services of a PR/media agency on a contract basis to assist the organisation achieve its objectives in the UK market. Agency services sought include the planning, delivery and reporting of PR activities within the market.


Scope of work


• Develop an innovative consumer communications strategy to promote Fiji and as a destination. • Digital PR support for our campaigns and day-to-day activity with the ultimate goal of raising Fiji’s profile in the UK.


• Public relations management. The main focus will be within the UK and Ireland. The appointed agency will report to Tourism Fiji in the UK and will also communicate with Tourism Fiji’s global PR agencies and Tourism Fiji’s head office.


• Creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, imagery, written and visual content and storylines when required.


• Media buying and placement from time-to-time, to include a digital strategy, print media, broadcast and social media.


• Support during the specific events and capability of out of hours requirements when necessary. • Management of film crew (s), photographers and press visiting Fiji. • Organisation of press trips. • Ability to organise press conferences. • Vet all media and influencer applications using best practice. • Media capture and evaluation. All media must be measurable and assessed throughout.


Requirements


• Experience in working with Tourism Boards / travel companies and Government agencies on the development of PR, media placement and management.


• Be an established agency within the UK. • An agency that lives, breathes and speaks digital, and knows what our desired audience wants, likes and needs. • The agency needs some experience of successfully executing campaigns and providing measurable KPIs and proof of activity that demonstrated a real difference.


• We don’t want to rely on AVE, we require precise, measurable analytics on the content we seed out to really help design a great ROI.


• Demonstrate superior skills in all areas of communication and quality documentation/reports. • Agency must possess good judgement and cultural sensitivity. • Well-staffed agency that can accommodate tight deadlines and out-of-hours communication. • Proven history of managing film crews and press trips.

• Brief outline of the agency’s experience, capabilities and credentials. • Brief outline and plan on, ideas, projects and approach that would be undertaken to meet Tourism Fiji’s objectives.
