The Glasgow-based travel
technology specialist has hailed 2018 as “the year of the cruise” and hopes to transform the way the trade sells cruise product. By “refining” CruiseNX, which
was launched last year and features more than 190 cruise lines, the company hopes to improve the user experience for cruise agents, with whom it has worked to tailor its enhanced system. As well as enabling agents

WHITTLE: ’Potential to bring more cruisers on board is significant’
packages that include pre and post-cruise additions. Traveltek global sales director
Peter Whittle said: “Traveltek is making product and business development in the cruise sector a key priority.” The number of UK ocean cruise passengers is expected to top two
million by 2020. “As the number of first-time sea and river cruisers swells, spurred by new ships and experiences, there has never been a better time to sell cruise and by leveraging our cruise packaging technology, unrivalled content and B2C booking platform, the travel trade can drive more sales through multiple channels,” Whittle added. “Add to that the trade’s improved understanding of the range of experiences and products, and the potential to bring more cruisers on board in 2018 is significant. “If savvy agents use their know- how, and our technology, the
results could be mind-blowing.”

together. “Our team knows the best routes, can suggest which side of the train to sit on and can really concentrate on the detail.” To request a downloadable brochure,
