Agency to reopen London store
North London-based Colletts Travel is to reopen its high street store at the end of January following its closure due to the Covid pandemic. The store has undergone a
refurbishment, with dedicated planning lounges added. Global Travel Collection UK, of
which Colletts is part of, said the shop would serve as a hub for its currently home-based advisors, with support from its in-house ‘advisor success team’. Colletts also has a luxury tour
operation, Colletts Collection, and said the move would allow more interaction between the operator’s team and advisors (pictured). Francesca Mendola, vice-president of GTC UK, said: “Colletts Travel
has experienced an increased interest from advisors who wish to work from the Hendon store, as they did pre-pandemic. “This growing demand to reopen
the store has been encouraging and underlines the importance of both face-to-face booking interaction with luxury clients and our suppliers to increase educational partner learning, out of our north London location.”

Wimbledon agency plans ‘luxury setting’ in new larger shop
Wimbledon-based Swords Travel has moved to a larger store as it looks to create a “luxury setting” capable of holding evening events. The agency was previously based
on Merton Road in Wimbledon Town but has now moved to a shop in Wimbledon Village. Co-founder Mark Swords said:

New agency focuses on ‘off-grid’ holidays
The owner of new luxury agency Pinch Travel says the brand will specialise in “off-grid” destinations and “considered luxury”. The agency, led by Lee Monks, has launched as a sister brand to The Holiday Fixer, founded by Monks’ wife Britt-Marie. The husband-and-wife team will each
lead their respective businesses while leveraging opportunities for collaboration.

Lee said Pinch Travel’s creation came about as high-budget clients increasingly sought more-tailored luxury experiences through The Holiday Fixer, which primarily caters to mid to high-end clients. Lee said: “We wanted to elevate the
experience with a different website and brand that has a higher-end feel.” Explaining the company’s name, Lee
said: “It’s about those ‘pinch me’ moments we all experience when we have the best and most authentic travel experiences.” Pinch Travel also aims to specialise in “considered luxury”, helping clients to find properties that “integrate within nature, rather than impose on it”.
