elcome to the 27th SATTE, one that promises to build on the amazing growth we

have witnessed over the past three decades. It marks a return to the venue which has become our new home, India Expo Mart in Greater Noida, Delhi, and the third year of our successful I-Pledge campaign to promote sustainable tourism, one that last year received more than 40,000 pledges. It also marks the latest

chapter in our success story which has seen, as you’ll read in these pages, year-on-year growth in terms of visitors and exhibitors, one that last year saw more than 1,000 exhibitors arrive from more than 50 countries as well as 28 Indian States and 90 cities. We’re rightly proud of

the support we’ve enjoyed from the Ministry of Tourism, the Government of India and the many prestigious organisations that have been on this journey with us. And we’re equally proud of the

tremendous feedback our exhibitors give us, with 97 per cent of them telling us they would seriously consider exhibiting again and 95 per cent making no secret of the fact that they were “extremely satisfied”. Over three days, industry

leaders and the most aspirational of travellers will meet and mingle to, not only do business, but analyse trends, forecast

future developments, come up with viable solutions and, of course, help businesses thrive. It showcases the true potential of tourism for India, backed by what are

undoubtedly the most diverse global travel and tourism products and services in this part of the world. And the conference discussions help

to shape the future of the industry as they delve into trending subjects such as Tourism and Jobs, Cruising, Corporate Travel and MICE. As we all know, the growth potential

for tourism in India remains as strong as ever. It takes more than six per cent of country’s GDP and visitor numbers have been rising significantly. That will come as little surprise to the

industry. With the backing and support of the UBM group, it’s no exaggeration to say we have changed the face of travel over the years and, with your help, we will continue to do so for many years to come. A very warm welcome to SATTE 2020.
