grappling with the challenges of various geopolitical and financial crises such as turmoil in the Middle East and struggling European, or slowing Chinese, economies. But in spite of that, South Asia’s
biggest travel show celebrated its 23rd anniversary with an unprecedented show of faith in India as a travel marketplace with exhibitor numbers growing by 15 per cent to 750 and, now spread over an area of 17,000 square metres, exhibitors arrived from 35 countries and 28 Indian States and Union Territories. Participants flocked to the show from NTOs and State Tourism Boards as well

as hotels, DMCs, airlines, theme parks, and cruise lines – backed by a record attendance of 20,000 visitors, a rise of 28 per cent.
A similar number attended the show in 2017 but exhibitor numbers rose to 870 in a year marked as a launch-pad for many products and start-ups. Among them were the likes of
Tripshelf, Hive Travel Media Solutions, OyeSeva, Nafex, The Trip Works and YuMiGo. A year later saw it reach unprecedented levels, recording
ups. It was also the year SATTE sought to engage its exhibitors and visitors with a pledge for sustainable tourism under the banner of their unique I-Pledge initiative. With themes ranging from wildlife
preservation to reductions in plastic and smart waste disposal, more than 32,000 pledges were registered. Adding to its celebration, this year,
