EGGER delivers quality and speed of build for Dandara, on beautiful new Buckmore Green

B

uckmore Green is the latest development from award-winning housebuilder Dandara, on the edge of the beautiful

South Downs and built with a strong emphasis on landscape. Continuing its relationship with structural fl ooring manufacturer EGGER, Dandara has specifi ed EGGER Protect fl ooring boards on the development, chosen for durability and its contribution to streamlined build schedules. Delivered by Dandara, Buckmore Green

is an exclusive new housing development located in the market town of Petersfi eld, on the edge of the South Downs National Park. Comprising a beautiful collection of 85 units, ranging from two-bedroom apartments to four- bedroom homes, the properties are designed to complement their surroundings, with materials, designs and architectural features refl ective of the local character. Speaking about the development,

Luke McCarthy, Site Manager at Dandara, said: “Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do; we’re building homes for the future and for the community. Our houses have a variety of sustainable features, including air source heat pumps, solar panels, EV chargers and enhanced insulation, all compliant with Part L of the Building Regulations.” At the core of any house build are structural fl ooring boards, heavy-duty and load-wearing

panels that are installed directly onto fl oor joists to form the main subfl oor. Luke continued: “As a site manager, my

priority for any fl ooring product or system is always for it to be durable and easy to handle for my teams on site, as well as positively contributing to quality and speed of build. It’s for all these reasons and more that we work closely with EGGER UK.” EGGER and Dandara have been working

collaboratively for a number of years, with a specifi cation agreement in place for EGGER’s Peel Clean Xtra and Protect structural fl ooring systems. “All products are designed with the build

team in mind,” explained Luke. “They’re lightweight for the trades to carry, provide protection against the working environment and are durable; they can be installed in all sorts

of conditions, enabling us to continue the build eff ectively. For us, working in construction in England at diff erent times of year, you can be faced with all manner of weather conditions. The 100-day exposure rating off ered by EGGER Protect provides the freedom to be a bit vulnerable at times, giving you added time to continue with the build, without worrying about weather damage or delays.” Trusted by housebuilders nationwide, EGGER

off ers a wide range of structural fl ooring boards, with each product undergoing rigorous testing to ensure they meet the highest industry standards. EGGER Protect can be left exposed to the elements for up to 100 days and has been classifi ed with a ‘Low Slip Potential’ by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). When installed with EGGER Joint & Joist Adhesive, all products benefi t from EGGER’s Advanced Lifetime Guarantee. Mike Tozer, National Housebuilding Account

Manager at EGGER, added: “We’ve been in partnership with Dandara now for a number of years, working collaboratively and discussing their sustainability requirements. We’re really pleased to support Dandara with our portfolio of structural fl ooring systems, as they continue to grow and expand at brilliant developments, such as Buckmore Green.”
