sponsored by specialist builder’s merchant Burdens, a Building Insights LIVE round table was convened partly to tackle the glaring issue of industry misconceptions around sustainable urban drainage systems (SuDS). The revelations could help more housebuilders embrace this still unregulated key sustainability area, unlocing enefi ts for all concerned. The round table, featuring SuDS experts, housebuilders, supply chain representatives and industry bodies gathered at London’s Building Centre in September to share knowledge on how the housebuilding industry was addressing the challenge of stormwater management, eplore the issues, and fi nd realistic solutions. Although it isn’t legally mandated, SuDS is now required under certain criteria in the updated National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF).
