Bellway has completed the purchase of land to build 82 low-carbon homes within the new Mowbray Village development in North Horsham.
The acquisition follows the submission of a reserved matters planning application earlier this year, for a range of one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom properties, all featuring air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points. Outline planning permission for up to 2,750 homes along with a business park, retail units, community centre, and leisure and education facilities on land north of the A264 was granted in 2018. Bellway’s proposals are to develop a 6.4-acre parcel of land at the northwestern edge of the fi rst phase of the wider scheme, where construction is already underway. The Bellway site borders Old Holbrook to the west and will be accessed from Moat Road, the main spine road serving this phase of the development.
If the plans are approved, Bellway could start construction work on site in the autumn.
Bellway’s plans comprise 72 properties for private sale, featuring two-, three- and four-bedroom houses, and 10 affordable homes ranging from one- and two-bedroom maisonettes to four- bedroom houses.
