Daily deals and group-buying

are two sectors that have performed exceptionally well on mobile devices and tie in with the convenience afforded through accessing emails through handsets. Ve Interactive, a leading basket abandonment publisher, has generated an impressive 26 per cent of sales for one daily deal site through mobile handsets. Consumers are readily turning to mobile to ensure they are kept up to date with the latest offers so they do not miss out on any deals. “The increase in the use of smartphones for opening and reading emails initiates new and diverse opportunities for marketers. As smartphones can signifi cantly support cascading style sheets (CSS) functionalities over desktop emails, the engagement and experience can be improved to maximise click- through-rate,” says Roddy Scaife, Production Directo at Ve Interactive. fi garodigital.co.uk/case-study/mobile- email-is-big-business-within-the- performance-channel.aspx

Saad Quresh, Founder and CEO

of RhymeTech, is a songwriter who faced a problem when trying to come up with lyrics on the move: he couldn’t edit his compositions in the way that he could do on a traditional notepad. He contacted Eigo App Studio to develop an application with this functionality. Eigo App Studio developed the touch interface to be intuitive. Each lyric is separated into boxes known as ‘Bars’ and they can be

Ad-libs and FX can also be added. All lyrics and songs are saved within the app and users can search and fi lter through their songs and lyrics by progress, date created and A to Z selection. Since its release in January 2013 RhymePad has received 4,000 downloads in over 20 countries. fi garodigital.co.uk/case-study/rhymetech. aspx
