the lovely Ian Jarmarkier will be hosting hands-on workshops teaching you how to make sushi or maybe try the pasta making masterclass. This is a great way to learn something new to try at home.

Back down to the Dartmouth Yacht Club to finish the day with one of the ever popular drinks

seminars. Stephen Barrett will be talking about ‘what is the perfect temperature to drink red wine?’ A lesson and a drink, what more could you ask for?

This by no means exhausts the foodie adventures to be had at this year’s festival, but we hope you enjoy whatever you decide to see.

Family Fun at October sees

the Festival Thursday 19th

the return of our dedicated Children’s Day. We have invited school children from local primary schools to get involved with a series of hands-on workshops in the Royal Avenue Gardens. During the main festival, Coast and Country Cottages will be hosting a family area near the bandstand. There will be lots of family friendly activities including biscuit decorating and arts and crafts for children of all ages.

We’re raising funds for a very special project Next year, 2024, will be the 20th

anniversary of the Dartmouth

Food Festival, and to celebrate this we are raising funds to produce a very special book.

The book, which will be dedicated to our founding Patron Joyce Molyneux, will chronicle the history of Dartmouth Food Festival and contain a number of recipes, images and stories gathered over the last 20 years. We want to produce a good quality, hardback recipe book that will look equally good on your coffee table as on your kitchen shelf. In order to help pay for the design and print costs of our Dartmouth Anniversary Cookbook we are trying to raise £5,000 through a Crowd Funding Campaign.

Many of the chefs, food and drink experts and writers that have visited the Festival over the years have contributed recipes, including Matt Tebbutt, Orlando Murrin and Romy Gill as well as local personalities such as Mitch Tonks, Elly Wentworth, Mark Lobb and Serin Aubrey.

REWARDS We are offering a number of tasty rewards in return for a specific donation as well as receiving a copy of the actual book. Please find details of how to support this unique and exciting project at https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/dffcookbook

The festival merchandise team is very excited to be showcasing their new products for 2023 and have introduced some new and very exciting ranges to whet your appetite. You will find our stall situated in the first tent on the South Embankment.

There is such a thing as a free lunch after all

On the Monday after this year’s Dartmouth Food Festival we will be hosting a free community lunch in the Guildhall. In an endeavour to reduce food waste, the festival we will be using all the surplus produce from our event to create this delicious lunch for the local community.

All are welcome!
