The annual Agatha Christie festival from 12 – 20 September celebrates everything about the best-selling fiction writer of all time. As a local
resident she was widely inspired by the local area and landmarks and this year both the fringe and the literary festival will include a range of talks, tours, teas, boat trips, special screenings as well as a mysterious mix and mingle in the bar of the Imperial Hotel.
TOP TIP:Take a walk to Elberry Cove near
Broadsands which was a favourite swimming spot for Agatha Christie and apparently the setting for one of the crimes in the ABC Murders.
Raise a glass Look forward to Autumn with the return of Abbfest (18 – 20 September), an annual charity festival celebrating the very best of Devon’s food, drink and live music at Fermoy’s near Ipplepen. This is a relaxed fun-filled show with something for everyone including your dog!
