The final Special Award of Council was presented to outgoing Infineum Industry Liaison Advisor, Jacquie Berryman, who has led the Additive Technical Committee (ATC) as President, the Board of VLS as Chair, and for seven years held the title of Vice President of the UKLA.
Young Employee Awards Finally, the Young Employee Special Commendation and the Award for Young Employee of the Year and were presented. William Mancini of Fuchs received the Special Commendation for his innovation, pioneering process changes and engineering expertise.

As the night went continued on with the post-dinner reception, the energy in the room grew, especially following the entertainment that kept spirits high.
The UKLA Annual Dinner isn’t just about discussions and networking; it’s a valuable opportunity to celebrate the dedication and hard work of everyone in the community throughout the year. Here’s to many more evenings like this!

The award for Young Employee of the Year, meanwhile, was awarded to Ellis Mutter of Infineum, who already is listed on six patents related to lubricant additives on pre-ignition in hydrogen engines, and whose “smart and agile working style” has allowed the company to deliver above and beyond their projections over the past year.
One of the evening’s standout moments was the entertainment; our first female comedian – Lucy Porter. Lucy has gathered a strong following and excellent reputation on the live circuit, and her Edinburgh shows are invariably a sell-out. Lucy is a regular on Radio 4 panel and comedy shows, and has also appeared a number of times on Have I Got News For You and Mock the Week. She has also appeared on Newsnight and The Culture Show, and has written for Johnny Vaughan, Adam and Joe, and Jimmy Tarbuck. from a well-respected figure in finance. Lucy’s performance kept the audience rolling in their seats with her marvellous wit and satire.
