BA launches new Kitchen Kit Training Academy for the trade

UK MANUFACTURER BA has held its first Kitchen Kit training workshop at the Rotherham- based Academy. The Training Academy provides workshops for BA’s trade made-to- measure kitchen offering, Kitchen Kit. Each free event scheduled at the new Academy is suitable for up to 15 participants, with parking available on site and lunch provided on the day. Speaking about the new opening, Nuala Brady, group marketing manager at BA, said: “Embodying the core message of ‘Kitchens Made Easy’, the new Kitchen Kit Training Academy is open to our trade customers who want to become experienced in all aspects of the product, sales, delivery and application.”

Visitors to the Academy will get the chance to experience a series of full- scale kitchen displays in a lifestyle setting to get a feel for how the product will look when installed, as well as provide a visual aid for each trainer. Made in Britain and available flat- pack, BA says Kitchen Kit features a quality range of furniture, worktops, and complementary accessories so trade

customers can include all

components in one SKU code. Back in February, the manufacturer announced joiner and television presenter, Mark Millar, its new brand ambassador for Kitchen Kit. The Training Academy address is Unit 2, Barbados Way, Hellaby Industrial Estate, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, S66 8RX.

PJH sales manager Eddie Rock dies Head of sales (retail) Rick Adams

KBB DISTRIBUTOR PJH has announced that Eddie Rock, its regional sales manager for 21 years, passed away suddenly over Easter, aged 45.

Rock (pictured) began his career at PJH on the internal sales team and quickly progressed to the role of internal key account manager. He soon proved that his customer- centric style was perfect for face-to- face sales, and then joined the external sales team, where he worked for more than 10 years.

PJH chief executive, Richard George, commented: “We [PJH] are deeply shocked and saddened by the untimely death of Eddie Rock. The thoughts of everyone at PJH are with his family and friends

and we extend our deepest sympathies to them.”

added: “Eddie was simply a beautiful soul, a genuine human being who showed so much love towards his colleagues and customers. Everyone at PJH is heartbroken. He was a delight to work with, a model professional who always showed a positive attitude and gave everything to his role. He authentically cared about other people – no ego, just simple love. We will miss him so much. He would have loved what’s coming along soon and I can imagine how he would have described it, ‘Absolutely awesome!’ God bless you Eddie, all of us at PJH will do you proud and never forget you.”
