Wet rooms, on the surface, sound like an easy design thanks to their minimalistic look. But, as Vicki Evans finds, they require thorough surveys thanks to their hidden complexities

Martin Carroll, managing director Duravit UK says it is essential to ensure that the trays enhance safety but do not distract from their aesthetic appeal.


According to Carroll, all Duravit acrylic shower trays are coated with a transparent primer. However, DuraSolid, he says, doesn’t need the extra coating as the cast mineral material has a class B slip-resistance without any extra coating. Other
